As you can see, setting up a newsletter for your business is a good way to keep in touch with your community and provide them with new content. But be careful, a new European standard comes into force on May 25 and newsletters are affected .

This standard is the GDPR. The General Data Protection Regulation . I'm sure you've heard this term everywhere in recent months. And rightly so! Starting May 25, companies (both very large and very small) will have to have the clear and explicit consent of their customers to record and store their personal data (name, first name, email address, etc.).

To explain it concretely, let's take the example of the e-commerce site. In many cases, as soon as you make a purchase, your data is directly collected in the site's database. As a result, you regularly receive promotional japan whatsapp number data emails, without necessarily wanting to. From May 25, e-commerce sites will have to have your agreement to reuse your contact details for new communication campaigns.

I therefore advise you to install a double opt-in on your registration forms , so that the user can truly confirm their registration on your database .

A well-constructed, well-targeted newsletter with interesting content for your target audience can bring in a lot of money for your business. So, take the time to define your emailing strategy and, above all, don't forget to be regular.

It's your turn!
Personally, I send out one newsletter per week . Every Friday morning. And I love it! I love sharing my little victories, my struggles, my advice, and the life of my small business with my community. If there’s one thing I never skip no matter how busy I am, it’s my newsletter.
