Digital Manager: a key role in the Digital Transformation of companies

There is no unanimous term to define the role of those people within organizations who are responsible for promoting Digital Transformation, however, their work is of great importance to companies. The "drivers of digitalization" are facilitating the adaptation of Spanish companies to a new socio-economic-cultural environment in which digital technology is the main protagonist.

At Inesdi & Incipy we refer to these profiles as "Digital Managers", professionals who value the role of technology to maximize the competitiveness of the company, streamline processes, obtain greater knowledge of the client and maximize results. Digital Managers also work to incorporate technological innovation in a coordinated manner, involving each of the areas of the company and promoting a new culture in the organization (a culture in which an adequate use of technology will translate into long-term survival and higher income at the end of the cycle).



In order to find out how these Digital Managers are driving the bc data india Digital Transformation of their companies, Incipy & Inesdi, in collaboration with the BBVA Innovation Center , convened (on October 27 in Madrid and on October 28 in Barcelona) two events in which they discussed in depth:

The main brakes encountered.
Key points and decisive factors.

The two events generated great interest, both among attendees and on social media, with the hashtag #DigitalManager trending in Madrid and Barcelona. Conclusions from the sessions

Digitalisation is reflected positively in the bottom line, a fact that executives at Spanish companies are beginning to become aware of.
Digital Transformation is a priority for companies , being late can have catastrophic consequences.
It is necessary to invest in the training of managers and employees; they must be aware of the role of technology in optimizing processes and maximizing results.
Spanish companies are organized in vertical silos, technology facilitates the coordination of all departments to work together towards a common goal.
