I often get asked how campaigns work within SugarCRM, and while it may seem complex at first glance, it is based on a very logical structure. My goal is to demonstrate this in this blog.
Email Setup
In order to use campaigns, you will need to configure SugarCRM with an outgoing mail server (SMTP). To configure an SMTP in Sugar, you can simply bc data singapore phone number go to Administration > Email Settings, and choose “SMTP” as your mail agent, then choose the appropriate server information.

Bounced emails (those that do not reach their destination)
To manage bounced emails you will need to configure the admin panel, allowing Sugar to review the emails that have bounced (check if the email address is valid, or the mailbox is full, etc.), as well as if the campaign it is handling offers a response for the fields of sent emails (the sender address must always be an address that ends in the bounce mailbox, being monitored by Sugar).
Campaign Container
The Campaigns container is the first part of the current campaign that needs to be created. With this option you will be able to have all the information about the duration of the campaign being monitored. See what type of campaign it is, as well as what the purpose of the campaign is. You will also be able to carry out all the other related parts of the campaign, which are listed below:
Target List Selection
Destination lists can contain a combination of Targets, Leads, Contacts, Accounts and Users so you can define who should or should not receive emails sent from the campaign. You can select them or through a report you have created with your target audience profile.
