Google Announces AMP for Email – Email Marketing Even More Interactive
The technology is developed to enable more actions directly in the inbox, such as booking a hotel or completing a form without leaving your email.



Why only read the Email when we open our inbox? Google wants to offer users the ability to do more directly from their email, such as responding to a survey or making an appointment.

Google will achieve this by bringing its AMP, Accelerate Mobile Page, technology into Gmail, which today has more than a billion users and more than 270 billion emails sent every day.

In the official announcement, Google states that this new feature will enable marketers to create interactive experiences that generate engagement right from the email itself.

The idea is to allow people to complete more tasks down from their inbox, without changing pages or applications. For example, Google itself announced a partnership with Pinterest and Booking.com with which it is building experience for the first preview release of AMP for Gmail.
