Post by ahbappy250 »

Yoast SEO is a great tool for beginners as it provides a step-by-step setup. You will find it in the WordPress Plugins tab.

After installing the plugin, open the setup wizard. You will need to answer a few questions to provide Yoast with basic information about your site. From here, you are ready to start optimizing your content.

Imagine you have written a new blog post or article and are ready to share it. It will be helpful to take a look at the Yoast SEO meta box and sidebar (which appear in different places on the page where you are writing your content). Here you will find the features you will use to edit your post.

If you are a first-time user, here are the features to look out for:

Key phrase
Readability analysis
SEO Analysis
Google Preview
Facebook and Twitter Preview
Scheme
Cornerstone Content
Let's take a closer look at these features.

Key phrase
If you are trying to rank in Google for certain keywords, this indicator could be important for you.

Keyphrase is the first box that appears in the Yoast for WordPress sidebar. Here, Yoast asks you to enter a word that you want to rank for in search results.

Of course, this means you'll need to start with some keyword research to figure out the best keyword phrase to use.

Once you enter your target keyword phrase, Yoast will give you direct feedback on how the keyword has already been implemented in your text:

You'll see a color-coded bullet list that shows you at a glance what you're doing well and what you need to improve. If all the bullet points are green, you're good to go.
